Wanted: In-Person Dance Coach to expertly guide nervous non-dancers and madly-in-love couples… to confidently rock their wedding dances in Denver Metro!
Local Dance Coaches, we bet you’re curious. (And if you’re the coach we described above, we couldn’t be happier to meet you!)
At Wedding Dance Coach, we create customized choreography for couples at any dance level, with enthusiasm and a collaborative spirit! Our studio is a safe, perfectionism-proof environment in which our couples, families, and wedding parties can build major confidence for their spotlight moment– so they can wow their guests and create unforgettable memories on their big day!
We make our hiring decisions based on the following values:
Liberation for All:
We are an equal rights vendor. We value diversity and cater to same-sex couples as well as heterosexual couples of all backgrounds, traditions, creeds, and cultures.
Clear and Skillful Communication:
We thrive on clear, direct, and compassionate communication amongst team members. We regularly encourage feedback to and from our supervisors. (We all have voices and need to use them–with kindness, honesty, and respect.) Our work and life boundaries are crucial, and our Owners and Supervisors walk that talk each week. We want our employees to feel confident doing the same.
Alignment-based Work Culture:
We want your gifts to SHINE with us—we’ll help you discover how those gifts work BEST within our business—and let you DO them and help you GROW them.
We are currently seeking amazing dance instructors with availability on any and/or all of the following days…
(The more availability you have within this schedule, the more clients you’ll see! We love helping our coaches make the most of their availability.)

9 a.m. - 1 p.m. & 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.
MONDAY to FRIDAY
4 p.m. - 9 p.m.
This job is FOR YOU if…
You value reliability. You like to be “busy” during your available times, and a one-year minimum commitment to coaching with us sounds a-okay to you.
People love you because of your warmth, friendliness, and passion for seeing your clients succeed!
Beginners have a special place in your heart— there’s nothing more rewarding than helping a non-dancer discover their dancing feet with ease, joy, and confidence.
People are always commenting about how safe and non-judgy you are – they feel inspired and encouraged by your presence.
Learning feels open and inviting for you, not competitive - it’s all about the knowledge - NOT about winning.
You love honest feedback when it’s given with conscientiousness and kindness.
All you want to do is TEACH (your superpower)!
Not do admin work, schedule, or handle payments.
This job is not for you if…
Direct and timely communication is not a priority for you.
You struggle with organization in your work or personal life.
It’s really hard to forget what you know about competitive ballroom dance and get creative and flexible with your clients– and their First Dance desires.
Commitment and schedule stability just don’t exist in your world.
Skills for Success:
Prior experience with couples’ dancing, as well as comfort and confidence in many different dance styles (including non-ballroom styles like hip-hop, contemporary, etc).
Encouraging, engaging, friendly personality

Communicates needs, desires and boundaries clearly, and values being part of a team environment that is productive, healthy and energetically clear (we don’t do drama here).
Values collaboration over competition!
Growth mindset with the ability to take feedback from team members, as well as a desire to evolve on a professional level
Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to look ahead and commit to detailed, future schedule(s)
Asks questions and asks for support whenever needed
Duties and Responsibilities include…
Begin and end teaching hours on time. This is CRUCIAL to our ability to serve and meet expectations of luxury-level clientele (we want wedding dance lessons to be THE highlight of their wedding planning process).
Acknowledge clients with authenticity, confidence, and eye-contact so as to make your clients feel seen, safe and welcome!
Introduce yourself to new clients directly, and ensure that you have reviewed client dance card info and know client pronouns/preferences prior to the lesson beginning.
Inquire about important wedding details and vision (dress style & any restrictions, dance floor surface, band or dj, previous dance experience, current or past injuries and any needed accommodations, etc).
Ask verbally for consent before delivering any hands-on assistance and instruction.
Teach simple yet impressive choreography and sequences that boost clients’ confidence and dance knowledge – and bring your clients’ vision to life!
Remind clients to follow WDC on social media for inspirational, fun content - be sure to ask clients whether they are comfortable with in-studio and wedding-day videos/photos being used on WDC’s social media platforms, and encourage them to participate!
Remind clients to practice on their own between lessons; take a video of their final run-through (per lesson) on an appropriate mobile device, so they can utilize that resource to practice at home.
Clean up after you leave your teaching room at the Denver studio, so the studio remains neat, tidy, looking and smelling fresh.
Be kind and attentive to our clients and staff. Every person deserves our attention, gratitude and respect!
Additional Responsibilities:
