Featured Client – Kristina & Daniel Eidson

wedding first dance

Kristina and Daniel Eidson learned a Viennese waltz, perfect for their beautiful setting at Spruce Mountain Ranch in Larkspur, CO, where they were married on September 20, 2014. We worked on their dance through the summer months and from the start they made a great dance team. By September they were ready with a beautiful, graceful choreographed routine, so memorable for them and their guests!

How did you meet the love of your life (in 5 sentences or less)?

We are high school sweethearts – we began dating our senior year and have been together ever since!

What was your first dance song and why did you pick it?

We picked “You and Me” by Lifehouse because it was a song we liked back when we started dating. It talks about just being with the one you love and simply disregarding everything else. It was great for a first dance because we really felt like it was just us out there and we forgot about our guests for a moment!

Why diunnamed-4d you choose to take wedding dance lessons?

We wanted to be able to really enjoy our first dance and didn’t want to be unsure of ourselves or thinking about dance steps. Taking lessons took all of the stress away and we were able to really focus on the moment together.

Would you recommend wedding dance lessons?

Definitely! It ensures you will be really comfortable during your first dance, but mainly it is just a really fun thing to do together leading up to the wedding. We have even done a few salsa lessons and other dance classes since our wedding because we enjoyed it so much.

What was your favorite moment at your wedding?

Our wedding ceremony was really personalized and so meaningful to us, so the ceremony and taking our vows was our favorite moment of the day.

Hindsight is 50/50. What advice would you give to a couple that is in the beginning stages of wedding planning?

The day is truly such a whirlwind experience and it goes by so fast. You won’t notice half of the things you spent hours on planning and decorating. What’s important is being in the moment with your future spouse and enjoying everything the day brings!

“Our choreographer made it really easy for us, as it was easier to learn than we realised. When we did our dance, everyone was cheering, especially when we did some lifts. Wedding dance lessons helped us take the nerves out of our first dance.”
