Featured Client: Father of the Bride – Alex Young

I must admit, here at Wedding Dance Coach, we have a soft spot for Father/Daughter dances.  There is just something so special and emotional about watching a father dance with his daughter.  I may have been known to shed a tear or two during rehearsals… but let’s keep that on the down low.

Meet Alex and Caryn Young!  This father/daughter duo had such a sweet dynamic and it was such a treat to work with them during this special time.  The wedding was held at the stunning Arrowhead Golf Course on September 15th, 2012.

Check out what Alex had to say about his experience in the dance studio:

What was your father/daughter dance song and why did you pick it?

Somewhere Over the Rainbow by IZ — We picked the song because Hawaii has always been a significant part of our heritage and the song has significance for both of our generations.

Why did you choose to take wedding dance lessons?

I have two left feet and didn’t want to embarrass Caryn on her wedding day and since everyone knew that I could not dance much we wanted to surprise our family and friends.

Would you recommend wedding dance lessons?

Absolutely!  Especially with Elizabeth who is friendly, capable, and fun to have as a coach.

What was your favorite moment at your daughter’s wedding?

When it was over and we were awesome.  The dance was fun and one of the highlights of the wedding.
