Featured Client: Matthew & Lindsay Reitzer – Micheal Jackson First Dance

Matthew and Lindsay Reitzer wanted to do something different for their first dance, so they put on the white glove, hat and busted out a pretty remarkable Micheal Jackson routine.  When we first talked to Lindsay about her vision for their first dance, she explained how she was the biggest MJ fan on the planet and how she wanted to surprise her guests with a Micheal Jackson mix.  They started with a romantic first dance and then MJ took over and they completely knocked everyone’s socks off!  Don’t just take my word for it though… watch the video below (skip to 1:40 to watch the surprise MJ dance).  They performed this unforgettable first dance at The Gate House in Lafayette Colorado on June 17, 2012.

Lindsay, how did you meet the love of your life (in 5 sentences or less)?

We meet while working in the same department at a local hospital.  He asked me out several times and each time I kept finding a reason of why I couldn’t go out with him.  It wasn’t until he finally convinced me to go out with him that I realized I did not want to be with anyone else.

What was your first dance song and why did you pick it?

We had a mash up of songs.  We first danced to Otis Redding “These arms of mine”, we chose that because it was one of the first songs we ever danced to together.  Then we broke into a Michael Jackson tribute, and that is because I am the biggest MJ fan around.

Why did you choose to take wedding dance lessons?

I wanted to do something fun and different for our first dance.  Also it was a lot of fun for us and helped make the wedding stress more fun!

Would you recommend wedding dance lessons?

I defiantly would!  It was so much fun, and it was amazing to see our progress.

What was your favorite moment at your wedding?

My favorite moment was when the slow music ended and you can hear all of our friends and family go crazy as the song transitioned into MJ’s  “Beat It”.  One of my cousins told me it was worth it to come to the wedding just to see us break out in the “Thriller” dance.
